MET Engage and Neighbourhood Watch |
||
Dear resident,
WELCOME to MET ENGAGE! Thank you so much for taking the time to speak to us and sign-up to our brand new platform.
As mentioned, MET ENGAGE has been created in partnership with Neighbourhood Watch so if you would like to start a Neighbourhood Watch Scheme there are 5 things you should know:
1 - You must be a resident in the area of the scheme – not a business owner or manager who lives elsewhere. Businesses can register to the Wandsworth Business Against Crime. 2 - As a new Scheme Coordinator, you have to work through the scheme creation screens under your own MET Engage logon. 3 - Select a manageable area, such as the street or block you live in and, possibly, an adjacent one if you know the area well – not multiple streets or a whole estate. 4 - The scheme has to go through an approval process before it is visible on the NW website. The approval is managed by local volunteers from the Wandsworth Neighbourhood Watch Association who will contact the new Coordinator, by email or phone, within a week of making the application, usually sooner. 5 - If any concerns about duplicate schemes, you can ask us to check with Wandsworth NW association.
Best regards, West Hill Safer Neighbourhood Team. | ||
